Beth Burke
Personal Assistant and Organizer
Beth’s personal and professional experiences are diverse and wide-ranging. They include home design, renovations and organizing, as well as office management, bookkeeping and small business management, and elder care.
She enjoys helping clients in both their personal and professional lives, making their days calmer, their businesses run smoother and their lives more pleasing. “I enjoy working with families as well as in professional settings.”
Recently, she was her own general contractor for home renovations which included extensive modifications and multiple additions. She has substantial experience working with architects, contractors, and inspectors. Beth receives continued acclaim for her interior design choices, and in 2007, she enjoyed consulting on a local expansion project for a small medical practice. She is currently a landlord for two local tenants.
She also has close personal experience in working with the elderly, not only during their final years -- companionship, running errands, cooking and cleaning, but also in handling the estate. She has collaborated in the process of dividing property, managing the estate sale process, and working with Realtors.
Beth moved to Carrboro in 1989. She was an active member of the Emerson Waldorf School community from 1989 to 2005. She has volunteered her services as a mediator at the Dispute Settlement Center in Carrboro, as a tutor for the Literacy Council in Chapel Hill, and is a current member of the Human Services Advisory Council for the Town of Carrboro.
She enjoys spending free time in her rooftop garden which is atop her backyard studio. She also enjoys camping and kayaking, as well as reading, playing her guitar, and games and puzzles.
